About Big Bin

What is Big Bin?
Big Bin is a roll-off bin rental company based in Mississauga, Ontario, delivering east to Oshawa, north to Orangeville, west to Hamilton. It runs three sizes of bin — 14 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard — for homeowners and for contractors, and it specialises in the heavy end of the work: concrete, soil and renovation debris. It is not a junk removal service and does not supply a crew to load the bin. For the owner’s name, the year it started and its licence numbers, call 416-458-4324 and ask.
What Big Bin is not
Saying what a business does not do is more useful than another paragraph about what it does. Every line here saves somebody a phone call.
- Not junk removal
- Junk removal sends a crew to carry your things out and load them. Big Bin drops a bin and leaves you to fill it at your own pace. It is a different service at a different price, and for heavy material it is usually the wrong one.
- Not a demolition contractor
- Big Bin takes away what a demolition produces. It does not knock anything down.
- Does not apply for your street permit
- If a bin has to sit on the road rather than a driveway, the municipality has to agree, and the permit stays in the property owner’s name because that is what cities require. Call and ask before you plan a job around a bin on the road.
- Does not own a small bin
- The fleet is 14 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard. There is no 4, 6, 8 or 20 yard bin, and a job that needs one needs a different supplier.

Common questions
Where is Big Bin based?
Mississauga, Ontario. The delivery area runs east to Oshawa, north to Orangeville and west to Hamilton from there.
What does Big Bin not do?
Big Bin rents roll-off bins. It does not send a crew to load the bin for you, which is what junk removal is, and it does not apply for municipal street permits on a customer’s behalf. It is not a demolition contractor either: it takes away what a demolition produces, it does not knock anything down.
Why does Big Bin only run three bin sizes?
Because those are the three it owns: 14 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard. There is no 4, 6, 8 or 20 yard bin in the fleet, so a job that needs one of those needs a different supplier — and saying so is more useful than sending a truck with the wrong equipment. Heavy material, meaning concrete and soil, goes in the 14 yard only.
Does Big Bin work with homeowners, or only with trade?
Both. Residential and commercial customers alike, including contractors who need a bin standing on a job site. The bin, the process and the way a price is worked out are the same either way.
Who loads the bin?
You do, or whoever is already working on the site. A truck sets the container where you asked for it and leaves it with you; nothing is tipped or carried on site by the driver. If you need people to do the loading, that is junk removal rather than a bin rental.
