Six steps to a real number with the tax already in it — where the job is, what you are throwing out, which bin, the days you want it, who you are, and the price.

Step 1 of 6 · Where

The first three characters of the postal code — for example L5J. That is enough to tell whether you are in the delivery area, and it is not enough to identify anybody.

Takes roughly 30 seconds.

Big Bin delivers east to Oshawa, north to Orangeville, west to Hamilton.

What you get at the end

  • A real number, not a range

The figure for your exact bin and material, with nothing rounded off and no starting-from asterisk.

  • The tax already in it

The total you would pay, with the base and the HST shown beside it rather than added at the end.

  • A number, not a callback

The figure is on the screen at the end. Big Bin asks for your name and number so they know who to call about the job, and asks for nothing else.

Can you get a bin rental price without phoning for it?

On this site, yes. Pick the first half of your postal code, what you are throwing out, which of the three bin sizes you want and the days you want it delivered and collected, leave your name and number, and the price appears on the next screen with HST already in it. Every combination it can reach has a real published figure behind it. It is priced for your own dates rather than for a typical week, so the extra days are already counted.

The number here is the number

What a price covers, the two things that can change it and the jobs quoted by phone are on the what a bin costs page.

  • Priced for your dates

A rental includes 7 days. Tell it when you want the bin delivered and collected and it counts the extra days into the figure, rather than quoting a typical week.

  • One number, not a range

The figure is for your exact bin and material, with the tax inside it and the two things that can still move it named beside it.

  • No callback to wait for

The price is on the screen when you finish, on heavy material as well as mixed waste.

Common questions

Does Big Bin ask for contact details before showing a price?

Yes — your name and phone number, on the step before the price, so Big Bin knows who to ask for when they call about the job. The figure is then shown in full on the next screen with HST included and your own dates already counted. An email address is optional and comes after the price, if you want the quote sent to you.

Can I book a bin online?

Not yet. Call 416-458-4324 with the price on your screen and we will book it, or email bigbinservices@gmail.com.

How many days is a bin rental?

Seven days on site are included in the price, whatever is in the bin. The quote asks for the day you want it delivered and the day you want it collected, so if you keep it longer the extra days are counted into the figure you see rather than turning up on the invoice afterwards.

How far ahead do I need to book a bin?

Pick the dates that suit the job and Big Bin will confirm them with you on the phone. How soon a bin can be on the ground depends on where the container is, what is already on the truck’s route that day and how far out the address is — so it is a question for the call rather than something a form can promise.

Is the price on the last screen the price I pay?

It is the price for the bin, the material, the dates you gave and the tax, and nothing is added to it for fuel. Two things can still move it and both are named on the screen beside the figure: a load above the painted fill line, and on mixed waste, weight above the included tonnage at the disposal facility’s scale.
